The Fall 2016 Season ended tonight at the Main Event. All of the Championship teams came down for some great food and open bar. They received their awards as did the MVP’s for each division. Also, every fall the LIFFL inducts players into the Hall of Fame. This year the Hall of Fame welcomed Chris Bute, Wes Jordan, Sean Manning, and James Parker.

Divisions Available: 8-Man “A” (PRO), 8 Man B (2-miss), 8-Man C (3-miss), 8-Man D (3-miss),5-Man “A”, 5-Man B, 5-Man C (2-miss),
Team Fee: 8-Man (B,C,D) : $600 / 5-Man: $450 / 8-Man “A” (PRO): $850

*WEEKNIGHT LEAGUE– Same prices for both 8-Man and 5-Man – Games Mon/Tues/Weds/Thurs 9-11pm

DATE: SATURDAY AUGUST 13th, 2016 (One Day Tournament)
LOCATIONS: Turf Fields, Seaford NY

This Summer the LIFFL is bringing 8-man teams and 5-man teams together by adding a separate division for 5-man that includes a stiff arm. There will still be no blocking down field, and all of the other standard 5-man rules apply. During the Summer months, coaches have a tough time because many players have other commitments and they struggle to field a team. 5-man with a stiff arm now gives you the ability to field a team because of the small roster size. It also gives existing 5-man teams the chance to add some physicality to their game. And lets not forget that it gives a chance for some lineman to get our there and catch the ball for a change after a long Spring season in the trenches!
The 5-man Stiff Arm Division will be a separate entity from the other divisions. That means players and teams can play in both 5-man B & C or 8-Man, as well as the 5-Man Stiff Arm division!
Note: When filling out the Registration form, 5-man “Stiff Arm” may not show on the page as an option. Just select 5-Man, and then use the comment box to tell us you want to play in this division.

Close to 40 5-on-5 teams took the field on the day of Super Bowl 50 determined to win a Championship of their own! In the “A” Division, the Sticky Bandits took home $1,000 by defeating the LI Beasts in the Championship Game 20-12. The “B” Division had the Goats taking home the cash prize by defeating the really tough team Coitus 27-19. The “C” division had Shake N’ Bake winning the hardware and winning 20-6 against Team Cancelled in the Championship!!
