Thanks to outstanding input from many Coaches the following rule changes,
as well as a whole new style of play, have been approved by Commissioner
Higgins for 2017:

8-Man Rule Changes:
1) Tied games are settled with the “Shoot-out” method. Each team gets an equal
4 downs from the 10 yard line the 1st round. If needed, each team gets an equal 4 downs again but switch order. If 3 or more rounds are needed, each team gets
one down with the choice of going for 1 pt from the 5 yard line, 2 pts from the 10 yard line, or 3 pts from the 15 yard line(no kicks).
2) Divisions Offered: “B” Division- 2 miss count and a stiff arm. “C” Division- 3 miss count and a stiff arm. “D” Division- 3 miss count and no stiff arm.
3) There are no On-Sides kicks but, in the final 2 minute warning, if the trailing
team kicks off and the return team gets flagged behind their own 20, the kicking(trailing) team gets the ball at midfield.
4) Missed Field Goals in “B” Division are treated like a punt and can be returned including end zone, or taken into play at line of scrimmage . Muffs dead at spot.

5-Man Rule Changes:
1) Tied games are settled with the “Shoot-out” method. Each team gets an equal
3 downs from the 15 yard line the 1st round. If needed, each team gets an equal 4 downs again but switch order. If 3 or more rounds are needed, each team gets
one down with the choice of going for 1 pt from the 5 yard line, 2 pts from the 10 yard line, or 3 pts from the 15 yard line(no kicks).
2) Clock stops after an offensive penalty until the ball is set.
3) Pass must be within 5 yards of the Receiver or Intentional Grounding is called.

6-On-6: New Division(Basic Rules):
Its an exciting new hybrid division….some 5-Man, some 8-Man. 6v6 on a 80×40, everyone eligible, blocking behind the line of scrimmage, no blocking down field, Stiff-Arms are legal,
4 downs, first downs at the 20/40/20, Rusher lines up on Center and both make contact, additional rushers allowed, etc. Full rules at Registration.

See you at Registration!
